Looks like a wood jar. "COOKIES" is in raised letters on the lid. Part of a set of kitchen containers. While not a figure or subject like the other Lane & Co cookie jars, it is quite rare. Also, unlike all the other Lane & Co cookie jars, it has a product number and no date.

The second jar is marked "FLOUR" on the lid and is slightly smaller overall. I assume there is also one marked "SUGAR", but I have never seen it. |

Lane & Co produced a number of items in this faux wood decoration. Including a serving dish, coffee set, bowl, ashtray, and perhaps other items. All have the same bright orange interiors. You see the violin ashtray up on eBay often...the others, not so often. |
