Guest Book Please add an entry to the guestbook to tell us about your collection, ask questions, or give some feedback. If you want to add delete or change an entry you have entered, send me email and I'll do the editing (too much SPAM on these simple guestbook scripts). If you want prices on "Lane & CO" items, see my post below on using EBay to get an idea of the current market prices. I only know about the cookie jars. |
From the collection of Tom Gilchrist |
The best place to get current "market" values (not retail) on all Lane & Co. items is to look at www.ebay.com and do a search for completed items using the search "lane & co" for both title and description (use the quotes in the search string). This will give you the final price (if sold) for the items. I have found this to be very reliable since there are so many Lane & Co items being traded. As far as cookie jars go, some people get the idea that Lane Cookie Jar are worth a lot of money because one of the books said it was...not always true. The retail shop might sell one for $800, but most are sold from around $50 (the stove),
$150 Sheriff, to $400 (the Indian) on EBay. The JD reproductions of
the Sheriff and Indian are around $200 each and are sometimes more expensive
than the originals! bye, tomg
